Today is the day that I go back to posting on my blog. I had created this blog last year for my English class and I thought that this was a good wayof showing what we’ve learned. In the 8th grade for English class, I had also created a blog and we would post our opinions and I didn’t really like it because others would see what I had postedin front of the class. Now I see it as something else because it’s just a different way of expressingour thoughts. I didn’t do such a good job of posting on my blog last year, but this year I will do better.

In the movie, Fatine prostitutes herself. In the movie they show the Tharnediers as people who steal from their costumers, but they show it in a comedic way. Mr.Tharnedier also doesn't go chasing after Cosette and Jean Valjean.

Areli Garcia Dr. Preston English 25 May 2019 Room 619 Every morning is the same. I wake up, get dressed for school, brush my teeth, and head to school. It’s the same routine meaning that sometimes I’ll barely be on time for first period. I always thought about changing my morning schedule, but I never did until one day when I was writing in my journal during second period. We create these habits that aren’t that easy to get rid of. So little by little I would be changing the time that I would wake up and then I also changed my morning routine to the point where I would now shower in the mornings. Starting to shower in the mornings was a good idea because it has me awake. It would have me as awake as a person who for the first time would have Dr. Preston drop a textbook just to prove a point. Coming into Dr.Preston’s class each day is not the same as coming into any other English class. Each day we get a minute of mindfulness and that isn’t given to us each day by any oth...

I believe that kinesthetic learning is most effective because when you learn to do something you’re practicing. It’s like playing a sport. Unless you do the work, you probably won’t know how to play the sport. One of my teachers has always said that unless you do the work, you won’t know how to solve the problems. I don’t think that I’m going to have anyone do something for my presentation because I can’t think of anything for them to do right now , but if I think of something then I will have them do it. I will have some sort of visuals and it might be on my presentation. I want to have some recordings to have the class listen to, but i dont know if I’m going to be able to do that.

Jean Valjean is a dynamic character because he changes throughout the story. He’s not the same person he was when he met the Bishop of Digne. He became the person people looked up to and the mayor of the town. He was respected by many. Along the way he became responsible for this child that he now cares about deeply. Jean Valjean was once a criminal to the people except Monseigneur Bienvenu

How would people survive if they didn’t have meat to eat? How would they act? Would their physical self be different? To find out more about my big question, I researched the health conditions of not eating meat. Not eating meat means that you’ll be eating less calories and fats and you’ll have a lower risk of heart diseases. One connection that I can make is that sometimes what you want is not good for you. What I’m going to do next is ask people who have been vegetarians or vegans how their lives have been because of it.

  We often think about kind actions in terms of how they affect other people -- but what do these moments offer the people who DO the kind things?  Can you become a nicer person by acting nice?  Please explain. I think that becoming nice by acting nice isn’t really the way it should be. I think that someone should just be nice and in return just expect respect from others. That’s what will make you a good person.

I think that when a kid struggles, then most of the time they will know their strength and they will know to work harder. A kid can be spoiled a little, but not too much that it leaves the child knowing how to do nothing for himself.

I think that Victor Hugo starts out a new section with describing the setting because he wants us to know the surroundings that affected his characters. I think that the places that we live in or the places that we go to everyday affect us because they are what brings us joy, hard work, sadness, and all kinds of other feelings. If you think about it, you can say that you’ve always wanted to live in this huge mansion and when you finally do you can become the happiest, most grateful person or you can become one of the most depressing, selfish people ever. The setting does affect who we are.

Something that I’ve learned about morning routines is that you either have the best routine that will get you to school on time or the the worst routine that will have you getting to school late by a few minutes. I usually wake up around 6:30 and that’s because by that time I realize that if I don’t get up then I will be really late. Every night before I set an alarm at 5:00, 5:08, 5:15, 5:23, and so on, but I never wake up to any of them. Your morning routine is the habit that you deal with every day based on the amount of effort you’re use to putting into it.

When I searched myself up, nothing came out that was actually about me. I don’t spend time on social media so I’m guessing that’s mainly why. There were lots of girls with the same name. Most of them are teenage girls with their Facebook accounts. There were few older Areli’s but not a lot.

I think Fantine made a bad decision when it came to losing her virginity to Tholomyes because she had no guarantee that he was going to stay with her and yet she gave herself away. Then when she got pregnant and decided to keep the baby, i think that it was a good decision. She may be struggling, but that’s what some parents do. They struggle for their child because they love them.

There are many ways that you can use your electronics while having your privacy. You can download the signal app which allows you to text people privately without having anyone else see it. For mail you can have your account set to 2 factor authentication. You can also download proton mail which is also secure like the signal app.

I think the teachers are right to protest against the district and how it’s run. Some schools need more resources and the district should be able to take care of it. They need to find a better way to fit everyone’s needs so that there won’t have to be any strikes. Teachers should also be appreciated and considered of because they need to be able to work in a school where it is going to be possible for them to teach. They should have a reasonable class size so that the teachers don’t have to worry about not being able to keep up with some students who might need more help. They should also have reasonable salaries for the work that they do.

For this winter break, I want to catch up with all the blog posts that I can. I also want to take some time to get rid of my stress. I would also like to spend more time with my family and to start off the year with a better attitude to towards things.

Love can make anything better. When you do something with love , people notice. When you work on painting something and you do it with love, you can create a masterpiece. The same goes with food because the you can cook the best dish anyone has tasted, you just need to put in your effort.

In Les Miserables, there is a dynamic character named Jean ValJean. Jean ValJeanis a dynamic character because he changes throughout the story. He's either going through a good or bad character change. For instance, Jean ValJean became an evil man because of the way that he was treated in prison. Then he became a good person because of the situation with the bishop. Although, it did seem he was changing into a good person, there was still a part of him still had anger towards the world so in the story he was mean to the little boy. When Jean ValJean was in prison,he became miserable. He was in prison for stealing a loaf of bread that was not even going to go towards him to eat, but to his family that he had to take care of.Then, while in prison he worked ,but what he was paid was very little. He did not even get to keep all the money that he was going to paid because they still kept a portion of what he had worked for. So when he got out of prison, he felt like there was no hope,h...

Success for me is when you feel that you’ve done enough of what ever it is that you needed to to do to make yourself happy. It’s at the point where you’ve reached satisfaction. Monseigneur Bienvenu is a character that pleases his values not everyone else’s and that makes him successful. He doesn’t need the power or money to be successful, he defines success in a totally different way.
